For Pakistanis in the USA

USA visitor visa for family from Pakistan

Your parents or siblings will apply for a B1/B2 visitor visa, fill in the DS-160 and attend an interview in Islamabad or Karachi. In US cases, the interview is about them, not about you. Here is what your support can add, and what really decides the case.

Family visits to the United States use the B-2 (tourism and visiting relatives) part of the B1/B2 visa. Your relatives complete the DS-160 form online, pay the visa fee, and attend an interview at the US Embassy in Islamabad or the US Consulate General in Karachi. Interview wait times and fees change, so check pk.usembassy.gov and travel.state.gov for the current position.

What the officer looks at

Under section 214(b) of US immigration law, every visitor visa applicant is presumed to intend to immigrate until they show otherwise. Your relatives must convince the officer, usually in a short interview, that the trip has a clear purpose, that they can pay for it, and that they have strong reasons to return to Pakistan: family, property, work, business or other responsibilities. Having a son or daughter in the US explains the trip; it does not by itself prove they will return.

What you can provide from the US

  • An invitation letter explaining who you are, your status, the purpose and dates of the visit, where your relatives will stay and who pays. No official sponsorship form is required for a visitor visa, and the officer may not ask to see your letter at all.
  • A copy of your US passport, green card or visa, and proof of address.
  • If you are paying: recent bank statements, an employment letter or a tax return.

Keep it simple and honest. The details on the DS-160, such as your name, address and relationship, must match what your relatives say at the interview.

What your relatives prepare in Pakistan

  • A carefully completed DS-160, with accurate travel history, family details and US contact information.
  • Passport, old passports, the appointment confirmation and the DS-160 confirmation page.
  • Supporting documents they can show if asked: bank statement, income, property, family registration.
  • Preparation for the interview: being able to explain, in their own words, who they are visiting, why, for how long and what they return to. Our USA visa and DS-160 guide explains the form.

Common reasons family visits are refused

  • Refusal under 214(b): the officer is not convinced of strong ties to Pakistan.
  • Answers at the interview that do not match the DS-160 or the host's details.
  • Long previous stays in the US, or earlier immigration problems.
  • An immigrant petition already filed for the same relative. If you have filed one, tell us; it can affect a visitor application and must be declared honestly.

How we help

  • We fill in and check the DS-160 with your relatives, line by line, using the details you confirm from the US.
  • We prepare a short, consistent invitation letter and a document list for the interview.
  • We explain the interview process and the kind of questions to expect, so your relatives can answer honestly and clearly.
  • A family of four applying together pays PKR 100,000 instead of PKR 200,000.

How it works when you are abroad and they are in Pakistan

  1. You or your relative write to us at [email protected] or through the form below. Tell us who is travelling, where you live, your status there and roughly when they want to come.
  2. Free case review. We look at both sides of the case, yours and theirs, and tell you honestly what is strong, what is weak and whether the timing makes sense.
  3. You see the work first. We prepare a sample or a checked part of the file so you can judge the quality. You pay our fee only once you are satisfied.
  4. We complete the file. Checklist, application form, cover letter, travel plan and a final cross-check of every document from both countries.
  5. Your relative attends only the official appointment for biometrics or interview. You stay in control of the application and its account throughout.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to send an affidavit of support for my parents' US visitor visa?+

No official sponsorship form is required for a B1/B2 visitor visa. A simple invitation letter and proof of your status can help, but the decision rests on your parents' own ties and answers.

Where do my parents attend the US visa interview?+

At the US Embassy in Islamabad or the US Consulate General in Karachi, as booked through the official appointment system.

Can my parents visit if I have applied for their green card?+

It can be harder, because a pending immigrant petition may suggest immigrant intent. It must be declared honestly. Tell us and we will explain the options before they apply.

How much does your USA family visit service cost?+

PKR 50,000 per person, or PKR 100,000 for a family of four applying together. The US visa fee is separate and is paid through the official system.
