Bringing family from Pakistan to visit you abroad

Many of the visit visa files we prepare are paid for and organised by someone who does not live in Pakistan at all. A son in Birmingham wants his parents at his wedding. A sister in Toronto wants her mother there for the birth of a baby. A cousin in Berlin wants his uncle to see the city. The traveller is in Pakistan, but the invitation, the accommodation and often the money are abroad. That split is exactly where many applications go wrong.

Choose the country your relative will visit

• United Kingdom: visit visa for parents and family from Pakistan (Standard Visitor visa).
• Germany: Schengen visit visa for family, and the Verpflichtungserklärung.
• Other Schengen countries: France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and more.
• Canada: visitor visa and super visa for parents.
• United States: B1/B2 visitor visa for family.

What you, the host abroad, usually prepare

• An invitation letter in your own words: who you are, your relationship, the dates, where they will stay and who pays for what. Some countries have an official form instead of, or as well as, a letter, such as Germany's Verpflichtungserklärung.
• Proof of your status in that country: passport, residence permit, permanent residence or citizenship document.
• Proof of where they will stay, such as a tenancy agreement, property document or utility bill in your name.
• Proof of funds if you are paying: recent bank statements, payslips or an employment letter, or business and tax records if you are self-employed.
• Proof of the relationship, for example a NADRA Family Registration Certificate or birth and marriage certificates.

What your relative in Pakistan prepares

• A valid passport and any previous passports with old visas.
• Their own financial picture: bank statement, pension, salary, business, rental or agricultural income. See bank statement for visa.
• Reasons to come back: job or business, property, spouse and children, studies, responsibilities at home.

Why family visit applications are refused

• The two sides do not match. Your letter says three weeks; their form says two months. Your address is different on two documents.
• The officer is not convinced they will return. Ties in Pakistan are thin or not shown, and everything points to the host country.
• Money that cannot be explained. A large deposit just before applying, or a sponsor whose own commitments are not clear.
• Past immigration history that is not declared, or long previous stays.

How it works when you are abroad and they are in Pakistan

1. You or your relative write to us at [email protected] or through the form below. Tell us who is travelling, where you live, your status there and roughly when they want to come.
2. Free case review. We look at both sides of the case, yours and theirs, and tell you honestly what is strong, what is weak and whether the timing makes sense.
3. You see the work first. We prepare a sample or a checked part of the file so you can judge the quality. You pay our fee only once you are satisfied.
4. We complete the file. Checklist, application form, cover letter, travel plan and a final cross-check of every document from both countries.
5. Your relative attends only the official appointment for biometrics or interview. You stay in control of the application and its account throughout.

These are our service fees only. Embassy, visa-centre, insurance and medical fees are separate and are paid to those organisations directly. See the full fee table.

Paying from abroad is common. We confirm the payment options by email once you are happy with the sample or checked file.
