Canada visitor visa and super visa for parents from Pakistan

Visitor visa or super visa?

Both are applied for online with IRCC, and both normally need biometrics at a visa application centre. Requirements and income levels are updated regularly, so check the current rules on canada.ca before applying.

What a super visa needs, in general terms

• A signed letter of invitation from the child or grandchild in Canada, including a promise of financial support for the whole visit, the number and names of people in the household, and a copy of the host's Canadian citizenship or PR document.
• Proof that the host meets the minimum income set by IRCC for their family size, for example tax notices of assessment, an employment letter and pay stubs.
• Medical insurance that meets IRCC's rules: at least CAD 100,000 of emergency, health-care and repatriation coverage, valid for at least one year from entry and paid for. Check which insurers IRCC currently accepts.
• An immigration medical exam by an IRCC panel physician.

What you prepare for an ordinary visitor visa

• An invitation letter: your details and status in Canada, your relationship, the purpose and length of the visit, where your relatives will stay and who pays.
• A copy of your Canadian passport, citizenship certificate or PR card.
• If you are paying: recent pay stubs or an employment letter, and bank statements.
• Proof of relationship, such as a NADRA Family Registration Certificate.

What your parents prepare in Pakistan

• Passport, previous passports and travel history.
• Their own finances: bank statement, pension, rental or agricultural income, property.
• Ties to Pakistan: home, other children or family who stay, responsibilities, business.

Why Canadian visitor applications from Pakistan are refused

• The officer is not satisfied the applicant will leave Canada at the end of the stay, because of weak family or financial ties to Pakistan.
• The purpose of the visit does not fit the length of stay or the documents.
• Financial documents that do not show a stable history.
• For super visas: income below the required level, or insurance that does not meet the rules.

3. You see the work first. We prepare a sample or a checked part of the file so you can judge the quality. You pay our fee only once you are satisfied.
4. We complete the file. Checklist, application form, cover letter, travel plan and a final cross-check of every document from both countries.
5. Your relative attends only the official appointment for biometrics or interview. You stay in control of the application and its account throughout.
